Sustainable communication experts
Who we are.
What we believe in.
The IPCC and IPBES just released a damning report on the state of climate change. So how can we use sustainable communication to change minds and create action?
The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) dropped a landmark report on the desks of every concerned environmentalist. It concluded that we have just 12 years to limit global temperature increase to 1.5C. The alternative is worldwide catastrophe.
Following that we have had the recent release of a report on global biodiversity loss from the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. This shows that humans are directly responsible for the loss of over 1m species. We can no longer argue that things can stay the same.
We now have the UK & Ireland both declaring climate emergencies.
How do we convince the general population, policy makers and the business world to make the huge changes required? We believe it's all about sustainable communication.
Sustainable communication
Bringing the two together is ultimately what we do. Our belief is simple. To find real solutions to the problems ahead of us (and by us we mean everyone and everything on our planet) we need to use creativity. Not just creativity with a capital C (the kind of thing we do when designing ads) but all kinds of creativity.
We started out in the world of digital advertising, creating campaigns that produced high Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) for companies that led with purpose driven values.
From there we started our journey of learning all about sustainability and what that meant for businesses of all sizes as well as governments, NGOs and other organisations. Bringing the two together with the principles of Service Design made perfect sense and we continue to grow our services to meet the needs of our clients and the reality of the 21st Century Economy.

Surfers Against Sewage
We’re a community dedicated to the protection of oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife. We fight long and hard to protect what we love and we won’t stop until it’s completely clean, safe and protected for everyone, forever.
From humble beginnings in Porthtowan Village Hall in 1990, we’ve stayed close to our roots and continue to be based just up the road at our St Agnes HQ where we can keep an eye on the sea.

Hope Agency Cambodia
In an effort to teach the members of the local community English and subjects such as Art, Sports, and Social/Training Skills, the Hope Agency was founded by Jason Han in 2010 and approved by the Royal Government of Cambodia that same year. This training would allow many students to pursue dreams and careers they had never thought possible prior to the agency's founding.Located on two hectares of land in Bakod village, Takeo province, the Hope Agency was initially an open-air classroom built to accommodate up to 150 pupils
The vision for the future
Like any business we have lofty goals for the next few years but over the next 12 months we are committing to two major projects.
As part of our dedication to sustainable communication we are setting ourselves two goals. To join the organisations below and be open and document our journey. Particularly with the B-Corporation process, which can be a big undertaking.

We bring dollars and doers together to accelerate smart environmental giving.
It all started when two businessmen met and bonded over their shared love for the outdoors. Realizing their responsibility to protect our planet, they decided to give 1% of their sales back to the environment—whether or not they were profitable.

Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.
This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good.
Our own creative expression
Our beautiful planet
Seeing our planet in unique perspectives can be a key link to understanding. Sustainable communication is all about working to find a way of bringing the reality of threats to the people in a way that is honest. It's our job as creatives to find unique ways to carry the message. In the videos below we have a sample of our own projects that try to show that creativity.
